How to visit or add LinkedIn profiles?

Updated for Linkedroid 3.7. The steps below follow the same shape as the 2020 version, but the visit modes were renamed and the dashboard was rebuilt, so the buttons are in different places.

Visiting profiles is the core of Linkedroid. You set up a search on LinkedIn, Linkedroid reads it, and works through the results at a pace you control. This covers the whole loop, including adding 2nd degree connections as it goes.

Step 1: open Linkedroid

Click the Linkedroid icon in your Chrome toolbar. It opens as a full browser tab, not a popup, and lands on Quick Campaign.

If you have no LinkedIn search tab open, Linkedroid says so and offers Go to LinkedIn at the bottom of the sidebar. It distinguishes between not being logged in, having no search tab, and being disconnected, so read what it actually says rather than assuming.

Step 2: build the search on LinkedIn

Linkedroid has no search of its own. It reads whatever LinkedIn search results are open in your browser, so your campaign is only ever as good as your search.

Search for people, then filter. Connection degree, location and current company do most of the work. Filter to 2nd degree if you plan to send connection requests, because those people share a connection with you.

A People search filtered to 2nd degree. Names and photos blurred. This is the page Linkedroid reads.

Step 3: refresh Linkedroid

Go back to the Linkedroid tab and click Refresh next to the Start button. The profiles from your search load in as cards, each showing a connection degree badge.

The counters across the top tell you what it found. Search Results is the size of your search, Current Page is where it is working, and Scanned Today counts profiles read out of the results.

Step 4: pick a visit mode

Name the campaign, then choose a Visit Mode. There are three, and the names changed since 2020:

The Visit Mode dropdown
The three visit modes.
  • Visit Profile views each profile and does nothing else. LinkedIn tells people who viewed them, so this generates real signal at almost no risk. Start here.
  • Visit and add 2nd degree connections visits, then sends a connection request to 2nd degree profiles. The workhorse mode, and the one the original version of this post called visit and add.
  • Scan Profile reads profile data into Linkedroid without any outreach. Use it to build a tagged audience you will target later from a drip campaign.

Then pick your platform: Regular LinkedIn, Sales Navigator or LinkedIn Recruiter. The last two are greyed out unless your plan includes them.

Step 5: set the daily limit, then start

Open Campaign Config on the right and set Max Visits Per Day. Regular LinkedIn offers 100 or 250, a Business plan 300 or 450, Recruiter 500, Sales Navigator 800.

Choose the lowest number that does the job. LinkedIn reacts to sudden jumps in activity far more than to steady volume, so a new account running 450 visits on day one is the fastest way to get restricted.

Press Start. It becomes a red Stop, finished cards get a Visited badge, and the active card shows Visiting with a progress bar.

Leave the LinkedIn tab open. Linkedroid drives a real browser tab, so closing it stops the work.

What changed since 2020

  • The modes were renamed, and Scan Profile is new.
  • Daily limits are now tied to your plan and platform.
  • Connection requests can carry an AI-written note, different for every profile.
  • Multi-step sequences moved to the drip campaign flow builder.

Learn all about settings available with Linkedroid

Updated for Linkedroid 3.7. This guide was originally written in 2020, when settings lived in a small popup. They now live in a full Preferences screen with four tabs, and several settings below did not exist at all back then. Settings are where you decide how hard Linkedroid pushes, when it runs, and what it says. Getting them right before your first campaign matters more than anything else you will do in the product. Opening Preferences Two ways in: the gear icon in the top right, or Settings at the bottom of the sidebar. Both open the same Preferences screen. It has four tabs: General , Automation , Schedule and Personalization . The General tab. General LinkedIn Platform selects your subscription type: Regular LinkedIn, Sales Navigator or LinkedIn Recruiter. This is not cosmetic. It changes which pages Linkedroid reads and what daily limits are available to you. Appearance sets the theme to System, Light or Dark. Backup & Restore exports everything Linke...

Complete guide to drip campaigns with Linkedroid

Updated for Linkedroid 3.7. The drip campaign builder was rebuilt since this post was written. The action elements described in the original version, and the screenshots of them, no longer match the product. Here is what the current builder does, and where to find the full guide. A drip campaign runs a sequence of actions against a list of people, waits between them, and branches based on how each person responds. That is still the idea. What changed is that it is now a visual flow builder with far more node types, real branching, and per-profile execution tracking. What is different now It is a canvas, not a list. You drag nodes onto a flow and connect them, rather than adding action elements in sequence. Ten templates. Rather than starting blank, you pick a starting point, from Connect & Follow-up to a thirteen-node Sales Outreach sequence. Real branching. A Condition node splits the flow on whether someone replied, accepted your connection, or has a keyword in their hea...

How to open Linkedroid CRM?

Updated for Linkedroid 3.7. The original version of this post described a right-click menu and a CRM button in a LinkedIn sidebar. Neither exists any more. Opening Linkedroid is now a single click. There is no separate CRM to open. What used to be the Linkedroid CRM is now the whole app, and it opens as a full browser tab. Click the icon Click the Linkedroid icon in your Chrome toolbar. That is it. A new tab opens with the dashboard, and you land on Quick Campaign. If you do not see the icon, it is probably hidden behind Chrome's extensions puzzle-piece button. Click that, find Linkedroid, and pin it. Linkedroid does not open as a small popup. It gets a full tab, which is why there is room for campaigns, a flow builder and analytics rather than a cramped panel. What opens. Profile names and photos blurred for privacy. You need to sign in once The first time, you get a sign-in card. Linkedroid uses Sign in with Google , and that account carries your plan, campaigns,...

Integrate twitter with linkedroid to automate your daily activities

Updated for Linkedroid 3.7. This post used to describe a built-in Twitter integration with a Connect Twitter button, list building and follow automation. That integration is no longer part of Linkedroid, and leaving the old instructions up would waste your time. Here is what replaced it, and how to get Linkedroid data onto X or anywhere else. What happened to the Twitter integration The old feature found Twitter handles from LinkedIn profiles, let you follow and unfollow from inside Linkedroid, and built Twitter lists from a visit campaign. It was built against a version of the Twitter API that no longer works the way it did, and it is not available in current builds. Cross-platform enrichment is still on the roadmap. It is not shipped, and this post is not going to pretend otherwise. What replaced it: webhooks Linkedroid now sends profile data anywhere you want, using the Webhook and Zapier Webhook nodes in the drip campaign flow builder. That is a better answer than a sin...

Tagging connections using Linkedroid CRM

Updated for Linkedroid 3.7. Tagging still works the same way in spirit, but it lives in My Network now rather than a CRM screen, and there are several ways to get profiles in that did not exist in 2020. Tags are how you build an audience. A drip campaign targets a tag, so tagging is the step that turns a pile of visited profiles into something you can actually run a sequence against. Where tagging lives Open My Network in the sidebar. Four tabs across the top: All shows everything Linkedroid knows about. My Connections is your 1st degree network, synced from LinkedIn. Discovered Profiles holds people found through campaigns who are not connections yet. Imported Contacts holds anyone you brought in from a CSV. That third tab is the important change since 2020. You no longer need to be connected to someone to tag them and target them, which means a Scan Profile campaign can build an audience of 2nd and 3rd degree people you have never spoken to. Tagging profiles Selec...

How to fix not loading same profiles as on the search page?

Help with active bug #1 We've been recorded requests from a few users that they are not seeing the same profiles as on the search page. The problem has been identified and it has a quick fix. Follow the steps and check if you're performing the same. The issue is with the users using the sales navigator. 1. Make sure currently only 1 tab is opened with the sales search URL. 2. Check if you're loading a saved search URL.  Look at the URL it contains  savedSearchId which means it is a saved search. https://www.linkedin.com/sales/search/people?savedSearchId=637935216&searchSessionId=bbwvaidcQiqpNOc3RggzGA%3D%3D 2.1   Go to the sales search tab, Pick any filter from the filter list.  Refer below, I've added a new filter as geography (United States). 3.
